Meet Nobu the American Pit Bull Terrier 🐾

Some visitors leave Chicago Animal Care and Control already planning their next steps after meeting Nobu in person. Spending time together outside the kennel area often gives people a better understanding of how he behaves during one on one interaction and what life at home could potentially look like.

Depending on weather conditions and shelter activity, interactions may happen outdoors or inside quieter visiting rooms. Some people spend the visit walking with him while others use toys or treats during the interaction while learning more about his behavior outside the shelter environment.

Volunteers may also explain fostering through rescue organizations for visitors who are interested in helping him leave the shelter sooner while providing a more stable environment outside the shelter. Rescue organizations may provide supplies, food, and veterinary support during foster placement.
