Volunteer at Anti-Cruelty Societ

Be Part of Something Meaningful

Since 1899, the Anti-Cruelty Society has been a refuge for animals in crisis. Over 650 volunteers pour their hearts into this work every year, contributing more than 50,000 hours of love and care. When you volunteer here, you’re not just helping animals. You’re becoming part of a community that truly cares.

Who Can Volunteer

Adults 18 and older, teens ages 13 to 18, and families all welcome. Whether you’ve never volunteered before or you’re a seasoned animal lover, there’s a perfect role waiting for you.

What You’ll Do

Walk dogs who are learning to trust again. Comfort frightened cats. Celebrate adoption day with animals heading home. Help at events. Support the medical team. Work from home if that’s easier for you. Every single task matters and brings you face to face with the impact you’re making.

Getting Started

Fill out a volunteer application, attend an orientation (20 dollar fee, but financial assistance available), and begin your journey. Commit to volunteering at least once per month.
