About Chewy
Meet Chewy! At 11 months old, this boy was surrendered to CACC in April of 2025 because he was “too much” to handle for his owner. Chewy is your typical working line shepherd that lives for his ball. He is high energy and very intelligent. Chewy is looking for an experienced home that will keep him mentally stimulated and provide lots of exercise. He needs work on reactivity towards other dogs — training will be required for this handsome boy. Chewy is housebroken, crate trained and knows some basic commands. He is a friendly guy that thinks everyone is his best friend. He loves to shower people with kisses! Due to his energy and exuberance with people, he is best suited for a home with no young children.
More About Chewy
Chewy is a large, energetic dog who loves to stay active. As a young German Shepherd, he has a strong instinct to play and exercise, particularly with his ball. He is a friendly dog who thinks everyone is his best friend and enjoys showering people with kisses.
Chewy reportedly does well with other dogs, but he is not a match for cats. He would do best in a cat-free home with experienced owners who can provide him with the mental stimulation and exercise he needs. Due to his high energy, he is best suited for a home with no young children. Chewy is housebroken and knows some basic commands, but he does need work on reactivity towards other dogs and will require training.
