Pawfest 2026 at Deicke Park in Huntley

Animal House Shelter’s annual Pawfest returns to Deicke Park in Huntley on Saturday, October 3, 2026. This free outdoor celebration brings pet lovers together for adoptable animals, low-cost veterinary services, food, music, raffles and a full afternoon of activities.

Dogs and cats can receive low-cost vaccines and microchips from the veterinary team on site. Visitors can also meet adoptable pets from Animal House Shelter while exploring local vendors, crafters and food options throughout the park.

Low-Cost Vaccines and Microchips

Pawfest gives local pet owners an opportunity to obtain low-cost vaccines and microchips for dogs and cats. Microchipping provides permanent identification that can help reunite a lost pet with their family, while routine vaccines help protect pets and the wider community.

Veterinary services may be available on a first-come basis and pricing can vary. Arriving earlier in the day may provide more time to complete services and enjoy the rest of the event.

Meet Adoptable Pets from Animal House Shelter

Animal House Shelter will bring adoptable animals to Pawfest so visitors can learn more about pets currently waiting for homes. Meeting a dog at a busy outdoor event can offer an introduction, but families should still ask shelter representatives about the animal’s history, personality, care needs and adoption process.

Available animals can change before the event as pets are adopted and new animals arrive. Visitors interested in a particular dog should check Animal House Shelter’s current listings before attending.

Food, Music, Raffles and Local Vendors

Pawfest is designed as a community celebration as well as a shelter event. Food, live music, raffles, vendors and crafters will be spread throughout Deicke Park, giving visitors plenty to explore between meeting animals and participating in pet-focused activities.

Admission to Pawfest is free. Visitors may still want to bring money for food, raffle tickets, merchandise and any veterinary services they choose to use.
