If you are considering fostering Hotspur, volunteers at Chicago Animal Care and Control may be able to explain which rescue organizations are currently assisting dogs from the shelter and how foster placement approval may work.

Some rescue groups move quickly when qualified foster homes become available, particularly for dogs needing additional recovery time, decompression, or stability outside the shelter environment.

Meet and greet interactions may happen outdoors or inside quieter rooms depending on conditions that day. Visitors may spend time walking with him, using treats or toys, or observing how he reacts during direct one on one interaction.

Fostering often allows people to help a dog immediately without making a permanent commitment on the first day. Some foster placements later become adoptions after people spend more time together outside the shelter.
