Meet Grasshopper the Labrador Retriever 🐾

Meeting Grasshopper in person may reveal personality traits that become much easier to notice during direct interaction. Some dogs remain highly focused on people throughout the visit while others spend more time exploring the interaction space around them.

At CACC, visitors may spend time walking with her, using toys or treats, or simply sitting nearby during the interaction depending on the dog's comfort level and energy that day.

Volunteers are usually available to answer questions about fostering, adoption procedures, surgery recovery expectations, and rescue placement support.

Some adopters also use the visit to start thinking practically about exercise routines, walking schedules, and how much daily activity the dog may realistically need after leaving the shelter.
