Meet and greet visits may happen in one of the outdoor interaction spaces or quieter indoor rooms depending on weather conditions and shelter activity. Some visitors spend time walking with her while others use treats or toys during the interaction.

Foster homes often provide dogs additional time to decompress, adjust to routines, and settle into more stable environments outside the shelter. Some foster placements eventually become permanent adoptions after people spend more time together at home.
