Adopt Armita the Cane Corso 🐾

For many adopters, finally meeting Armita in person is when everything starts to feel real. Spending time together outside the kennel environment often gives people a better understanding of how she behaves once things become calmer and less crowded. Some dogs become more playful during the interaction while others simply seem relieved to relax in a quieter space.

At Chicago Animal Care and Control, visits may happen outdoors in enclosed yards or inside quieter interaction rooms depending on the conditions that day. Some people spend the interaction walking with her while others use treats or toys while getting to know her better.

Volunteers can answer questions about adoption procedures, fostering, rescue partner involvement, and what next steps may involve if she still needs surgery before going home. After her procedure, she may need additional recovery time before pickup becomes available.
