My Story

My name is Jebsen and I am a good boy. I am a tan Mastiff mix and I was found near 5500 Block W North Ave in Chicago's Belmont Cragin neighborhood. I have been waiting for someone to save me at Chicago Animal Care and Control since April 28. I am homeless and I really need to find my forever home soon. โณ Please come and visit me at the shelter. ๐Ÿ™

Are You Thinking About Adopting Jebsen?

To adopt Jebsen, volunteers at Chicago Animal Care and Control can explain what remaining steps still need to be completed before he is ready to go home. If surgery is still pending, he will need recovery time afterward before pickup becomes available.

Depending on weather conditions and shelter activity, visits may happen outdoors in enclosed yards or inside quieter interaction rooms. During the meet and greet, visitors may walk with him, use treats or toys, or simply spend time observing how he responds once things become calmer and less crowded.

Some adopters decide quickly after the interaction while others spend additional time learning about fostering, rescue involvement, or recovery expectations before making a final decision. Spending time together in person often provides a much clearer understanding of how the dog behaves outside the kennel environment.

Volunteers can also explain how rescue partner fostering works for visitors who may want to help him leave the shelter sooner while continuing to learn more about the dog in a home environment.
