Volunteer at PAWS Chicago

Chicago’s Largest No Kill Organization

PAWS Chicago is the city’s largest No Kill humane organization, and they run on the dedication of volunteers who believe every healthy and treatable pet deserves a chance. If you want to be part of building a No Kill Chicago, volunteering is the most direct way.

Getting Started

The process is simple and welcoming. All volunteers, whether you’re 18 or older or a teen ages 12 to 17 with a parent, start with an orientation. PAWS offers online orientations nine times a month, making it easy to fit into your schedule. In person orientations are also available at their Medical Center.

What You’ll Do

Work with dogs and cats, help with medical care, support events, assist with community outreach, or choose remote opportunities. No experience necessary, just bring your passion for animals.

Where to Volunteer

Volunteer at the Pippen Fasseas Adoption Center in Lincoln Park or the Nan & Wayne Kocourek Medical Center in Little Village.
