Are You Thinking About Adopting Postcard?
To foster Postcard, visitors can speak with volunteers at Chicago Animal Care and Control about which rescue partners may currently be accepting foster applications. Some rescue organizations are able to place temporary holds while applications are reviewed.
Foster placement can provide dogs additional stability, decompression time, and space away from the shelter environment. Rescue groups may also provide supplies, veterinary care, food, and placement guidance during the foster period.
Some foster homes eventually become permanent adoptions while others remain temporary placements until the dog is adopted elsewhere. Spending time together during a meet and greet interaction often helps people decide which option feels more manageable for their household.
Meet and greet interactions may happen outdoors or inside quieter rooms depending on weather conditions and shelter activity that day. Visitors may spend time walking with him, observing behavior during direct interaction, or simply getting to know him better outside the kennel environment.
