At Chicago Animal Care and Control, meet and greet visits may happen outdoors in enclosed interaction yards or inside quieter rooms depending on weather conditions and daily shelter activity. Visitors may spend time walking with him, using toys or treats, or simply allowing him time to adjust to the interaction.

Volunteers are usually available nearby to answer questions about fostering, adoption timing, surgery recovery, and rescue placement support. Some rescue organizations may also coordinate foster placements for approved applicants interested in helping Unknown leave the shelter sooner.
