Fostering with Chicagoland Bully Breed Rescue gives a bully breed dog a safe place to land while they wait for adoption. CBBR focuses on pit bull-type dogs, including dogs who may be listed as American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, American Bulldogs or bully breed mixes.

Because CBBR is foster-based, the rescue can only help as many dogs as it has foster homes. Foster care gives dogs time to decompress, settle into a routine and show who they really are outside of shelter stress.

What CBBR Provides

Your role is to provide daily care, structure, patience and updates. Foster parents are also encouraged to be their foster dog’s advocate by helping with photos, bios, events and social media visibility when possible.

Fostering Can Be Long Term

Fostering is not a lifetime commitment, but it can be long term. Some dogs are adopted quickly, while others need more time, updated photos, training support or more exposure before the right adopter finds them.
