Are You Thinking About Adopting Major?
Helping Major leave the shelter may begin with spending time together during a visit at CACC and asking staff about adoption or foster placement options.
Some visitors arrive planning only to foster temporarily and later decide they would like to adopt permanently after spending additional time together outside the shelter.
Depending on conditions that day, interaction opportunities may happen outdoors or inside quieter rooms away from heavier traffic areas. Some people spend time walking with him while others focus more on calm direct interaction during the visit.
People preparing for adoption may also want to think about schedules at home, available exercise time, veterinary planning, and how much adjustment time the dog may need after leaving the shelter.
