Are You Thinking About Adopting Kadeidra?

If you are considering adopting Kadeidra, spending time together outside the kennel environment may help you better understand how she responds in calmer surroundings. Some dogs appear more relaxed once they are able to interact with visitors away from the busiest shelter areas.

At Chicago Animal Care and Control, meet and greet visits may happen outdoors in enclosed interaction yards or inside quieter rooms depending on weather conditions and shelter activity that day. Some visitors spend time walking with her while others use treats or toys during one on one interaction.

Volunteers are usually available nearby to answer questions about adoption procedures, fostering, rescue partner involvement, and surgery recovery expectations. If Kadeidra still needs surgery before going home, she may need additional recovery time afterward before pickup becomes available.

Some visitors arrive planning to adopt while others become interested in fostering after learning more about rescue placements during the interaction. Rescue organizations may also provide veterinary care, supplies, and placement support during foster placement.
