To bring Enzo home, ask staff or volunteers at Chicago Animal Care and Control about the adoption process and any remaining procedures that may still need to be completed before he is ready to leave the shelter. Some dogs are available sooner while others may still require surgery followed by recovery time.

Meet and greet visits may happen outdoors in one of the enclosed interaction yards or inside quieter rooms depending on conditions that day. Some adopters spend the interaction walking with him while others focus more on spending quiet time together outside the kennel environment.

Spending time together in person often provides a much clearer understanding of how he behaves once things become calmer and less crowded. Watching him explore the interaction area may help visitors imagine what life together at home could potentially look like.

Volunteers can also explain fostering through rescue organizations for visitors interested in helping him leave the shelter sooner while continuing to learn more about the dog in a home environment.
