Adopt Inaya the American Pit Bull Terrier 🐾

Helping Inaya leave the shelter could begin with a simple visit and some time together outside the kennel environment. Some dogs seem completely different once they are able to relax in a quieter space and interact one on one with visitors away from the busiest shelter traffic.

At Chicago Animal Care and Control, visits may happen in outdoor interaction yards or quieter indoor meet and greet rooms depending on weather conditions and shelter activity that day. Some visitors spend time walking with her while others use toys or treats during the interaction while getting to know her better.

Volunteers are usually nearby to answer questions about adoption, fostering, surgery scheduling, and rescue partner programs. Rescue organizations may also provide supplies, food, and veterinary care for approved fosters interested in helping her transition into a more stable environment outside the shelter.
