Are You Thinking About Adopting Buffalo?

Helping Buffalo leave the shelter could begin with stopping by CACC and asking whether he is available for interaction that day.

Some visitors spend the interaction walking with him while others simply sit nearby and allow the dog to settle naturally into direct attention. Some dogs stay highly engaged with people throughout the visit while others spend more time exploring the environment around them.

Volunteers can answer questions about adoption procedures, foster placement support, surgery recovery expectations, and what the pickup process may look like once Buffalo is medically cleared to leave the shelter.

People with existing dogs at home may also want to ask staff about current recommendations for introductions, transition pacing, and allowing time for adjustment after adoption.
