Are You Thinking About Adopting Waterford?

To meet Waterford, ask staff or volunteers at Chicago Animal Care and Control about available meet and greet visits. Some interactions begin in smaller enclosed spaces before moving into larger yards where dogs have more room to move around and explore.

Some visitors arrive planning to adopt while others want to learn more about fostering first. Volunteers can explain both options and may help connect interested fosters with rescue organizations that provide placement support, veterinary care, and supplies during foster placement.

Visitors may spend time walking with him, using treats or toys, or simply observing how he behaves during one on one interaction outside the kennel environment. Spending time together in person often gives people a much clearer understanding of how he responds in calmer surroundings.

Some dogs become more playful during the interaction while others simply appear relieved to relax in a quieter setting. Watching him explore outside the kennel area often helps visitors imagine what he could be like in a home environment.
