Are You Thinking About Adopting Monkey?
To meet Monkey, ask volunteers or staff at Chicago Animal Care and Control about arranging a meet and greet interaction. Some visits begin in smaller enclosed spaces before moving into larger yards where dogs have additional room to move around and explore.
Some visitors arrive planning to adopt while others want to learn more about fostering first. Volunteers can explain both options and may help connect interested fosters with rescue organizations that provide placement support, veterinary care, food, and supplies throughout foster placement.
Visitors may spend time walking with him, using treats or toys, or simply observing how he behaves during one on one interaction outside the kennel environment. Spending time together in person often gives people a much clearer understanding of how he responds in calmer surroundings.
Some dogs become more playful during the interaction while others simply appear relieved to relax outside the busiest shelter areas. Watching him explore the interaction space often helps visitors imagine what he could be like in a home environment.
