Are You Thinking About Adopting Koda?

For many visitors, finally meeting Koda in person changes the entire experience. Some dogs become more energetic once they are outside the kennel environment while others simply appear calmer and more relaxed during one on one interaction.

At Chicago Animal Care and Control, dogs may be brought into outdoor interaction yards or quieter indoor rooms depending on weather conditions and shelter activity. Visitors may spend time walking with him, using toys or treats, or simply sitting nearby while getting to know him better.

Volunteers are usually available to answer questions about adoption procedures, fostering, surgery recovery expectations, and rescue partner involvement. Spending time together during the interaction often gives people a much clearer understanding of how he responds outside the shelter environment.

Some visitors arrive planning to foster while others become interested in adoption after the interaction. Watching Koda relax in calmer surroundings often makes it easier to picture what life together outside the shelter could eventually look like.
