Helping Diora leave the shelter may begin with spending time together during a meet and greet visit. Some visitors arrive unsure whether they are interested in fostering or adopting and use the interaction to better understand what feels realistic for their situation.

At Chicago Animal Care and Control, interactions may happen outdoors in enclosed yards or inside quieter rooms depending on weather conditions and shelter activity. Some people spend the interaction walking with him while others simply observe how he responds during direct one on one interaction.

Volunteers are usually available nearby to answer questions about fostering, adoption timing, rescue partner involvement, and surgery recovery expectations. If Diora still needs surgery before going home, recovery time afterward may affect pickup timing.
