Are You Thinking About Adopting Taffeta?
If you are interested in fostering Taffeta, volunteers at Chicago Animal Care and Control can explain how rescue partner placements work and what the approval process may involve. Some rescue organizations may be able to place holds while foster applications are being reviewed.
Meet and greet interactions may happen outdoors in enclosed yards or inside quieter rooms depending on weather conditions and shelter activity. Some visitors spend the interaction walking with him while others use toys or treats during one on one interaction outside the kennel environment.
Foster homes often provide dogs additional time to decompress, settle into routines, and adjust to quieter surroundings outside the shelter. Rescue organizations may also provide food, veterinary support, crates, and placement guidance throughout foster placement.
Some foster placements eventually become permanent adoptions while others remain temporary placements while the rescue continues searching for the right long term fit. Spending time together during the interaction often helps visitors decide which option feels more realistic for their situation.
