Meet Lamington the American Pit Bull Terrier Mix 🐾

Meeting Lamington in person may give you a completely different impression than looking at photos or reading short online descriptions. Some dogs become noticeably more relaxed once they are outside and able to interact with people in a quieter setting. At Chicago Animal Care and Control, visits may happen in one of the outdoor interaction areas or inside quieter rooms depending on weather conditions that day.

Some visitors spend the interaction walking with him while others use treats or toys during one on one interaction. Volunteers are usually nearby to answer questions about adoption, fostering, surgery scheduling, and recovery expectations.

If Lamington still needs surgery before adoption can be finalized, he may need additional recovery time before pickup becomes available. Volunteers can explain what the timeline may look like depending on his medical status and scheduling.
