My name is Horatio and I am a good boy. I am a tan & white American Pit Bull Terrier and Bull Terrier mix and I was found near 8500 Block S Summit Ave in Chicago's Auburn Gresham neighborhood. Some visitors stop by CACC expecting to spend only a few minutes with Horatio and end up staying much longer once the interaction begins.
Depending on staffing and shelter activity that day, interaction opportunities may happen outdoors or inside quieter rooms away from heavier foot traffic. Some dogs spend the interaction exploring while others remain focused closely on the people around them.
Visitors may spend time walking with him, relaxing together during direct interaction, or observing how he reacts throughout the visit.
People preparing for adoption sometimes discuss schedules ahead of time so someone can remain home more frequently during the dog's first several days adjusting to unfamiliar surroundings after leaving the shelter.
