To bring Doo home, speak with staff or volunteers at Chicago Animal Care and Control about the adoption process and any remaining medical steps that may still need to be completed. Some dogs are ready to leave sooner while others may still need surgery followed by recovery time before pickup becomes available.

Meet and greet visits may happen outdoors in enclosed interaction spaces or inside quieter rooms depending on the day. Some visitors spend the interaction walking with him while others use treats or toys during one on one interaction outside the kennel environment.

Spending time together in person often provides adopters a much better understanding of how he behaves in calmer surroundings. Volunteers can also explain fostering options for visitors interested in helping him leave the shelter through rescue placement first.
