Interaction opportunities may happen outdoors or inside quieter rooms depending on conditions that day. Visitors may spend time walking with him, observing his reactions during direct interaction, or simply allowing him time to settle naturally during the visit.

Fostering can also help people decide whether long term adoption may eventually feel realistic without requiring an immediate permanent commitment at the beginning.
