Are You Thinking About Adopting Bolero?

Meeting Bolero in person may give you a completely different impression than reading a short profile or looking at photos online. Some dogs become noticeably more relaxed once they are outside the kennel area and able to interact with visitors in calmer surroundings.

At Chicago Animal Care and Control, visits may happen in one of the outdoor interaction yards or inside quieter meet and greet rooms depending on shelter activity and weather conditions. Some people spend the interaction walking with him while others use treats or toys during one on one interaction.

Volunteers are usually available nearby to answer questions about adoption, fostering, surgery scheduling, and rescue partner involvement. If surgery still needs to be completed before adoption, Bolero may need recovery time afterward before going home.

Some visitors arrive planning to foster while others become interested in adoption after seeing how he responds during the interaction. Spending time together outside the kennel environment often helps people better picture what life together could eventually look like.
