Are You Thinking About Adopting Alabama?

If you are interested in adopting Alabama, visiting CACC and speaking with staff may help you learn more about her personality, activity level, and current availability. Some families also choose to bring additional household members during the visit so everyone has an opportunity to spend time together.

People with existing pets sometimes ask questions about helping introductions happen gradually after adoption. Staff may also provide general guidance about helping dogs adjust during the first several days after leaving the shelter.

Some dogs settle into routines quickly once they begin spending regular time in a home environment while others need additional patience before becoming fully comfortable in unfamiliar surroundings.

For people who are not ready for permanent adoption, fostering Alabama through a rescue partner connected with CACC may also be an option.
