Are You Thinking About Adopting Priscilla?

Some visitors leave Chicago Animal Care and Control already planning their next steps after meeting Priscilla in person. Spending time together outside the kennel environment often gives people a much better understanding of how he behaves during one on one interaction.

Depending on shelter activity and weather conditions, interactions may happen outdoors or inside quieter meet and greet rooms. Some visitors spend the interaction walking with him while others use treats or toys while learning more about how he responds outside the kennel environment.

Volunteers may explain fostering through rescue organizations for visitors interested in helping him leave the shelter sooner while providing a more stable environment outside the shelter. Rescue partners may also provide food, supplies, and veterinary support during foster placement.

Watching Priscilla relax during the interaction often makes it easier for visitors to imagine what he could be like in a home environment. Some adopters decide quickly after the visit while others return for additional meet and greet sessions before making a final decision.
