Are You Thinking About Adopting Tonka?

If you are interested in fostering Tonka, rescue organizations working with CACC may be able to explain what support is available for approved foster homes and how placement timelines may work.

Some foster homes provide temporary care while rescues continue searching for a permanent adopter. Others eventually decide to adopt after spending more time together outside the shelter.

Visitors may spend interaction time walking with him, sitting together during direct attention, or observing how he responds during the visit. Shelter conditions may affect whether the interaction happens outdoors or inside a quieter room.

Foster homes often provide additional routine, structure, and recovery space that can be difficult to maintain inside a busy shelter setting. Rescue groups may also provide food, veterinary care, crates, and placement guidance throughout the foster period.
