Are You Thinking About Adopting Utah?

If you would like to adopt Utah, volunteers at Chicago Animal Care and Control can help arrange a meet and greet visit and explain what remaining steps may still need to happen before he is ready to leave the shelter. Some dogs are available fairly quickly while others still require surgery followed by recovery time.

Depending on shelter activity and weather conditions, the interaction may happen in an enclosed outdoor area or inside a quieter room away from heavier foot traffic. Some visitors spend time walking with him while others focus more on observing how he reacts during direct interaction.

Visitors sometimes arrive expecting to spend only a few minutes with the dog and end up staying much longer once the interaction begins. Seeing how Utah responds during one on one attention often provides much more useful insight than reading a short online profile.

Volunteers can also explain fostering and rescue partner involvement for people who may want to help him leave the shelter sooner while continuing to learn more about him outside the adoption floor environment.
