Are You Thinking About Adopting Chavela?

If you are interested in fostering Chavela, rescue organizations connected with CACC may be able to explain what support is available for approved foster homes and how placement timelines may work.

Some rescues provide veterinary care, crates, food, supplies, and placement guidance throughout the foster period. Foster homes often provide dogs additional routine and stability outside the shelter while permanent placement is still being arranged.

Interaction opportunities may happen outdoors or inside quieter rooms depending on shelter conditions that day. Visitors may spend time walking with him, sitting nearby during direct interaction, or observing his comfort level throughout the visit.

People considering fostering may also want to think about where a dog could decompress quietly during the first few days at home, especially if the household already includes children or other pets.
