Adopt Luna the Siberian Husky 🐾

For many visitors, finally meeting Luna in person changes the entire experience. Some dogs become more energetic once they are outside the kennel environment while others simply appear calmer and more relaxed during one on one interaction.

At Chicago Animal Care and Control, dogs may be brought into outdoor interaction yards or quieter indoor rooms depending on weather conditions and shelter activity. Visitors may spend time walking with her, using toys or treats, or simply sitting nearby while getting to know her better.

Volunteers are usually available to answer questions about adoption procedures, fostering, surgery recovery expectations, and rescue partner involvement. Spending time together during the interaction often gives people a much clearer understanding of how she responds outside the shelter environment.

Some visitors arrive planning to foster while others become interested in adoption after the interaction. Watching Luna relax in calmer surroundings often makes it easier to picture what life together outside the shelter could eventually look like.
